Traffic returns to normal on A483 northbound

Update: We are told the lanes have since reopened, and ahead of rush hour the traffic has cleared.

There are long delays for those travelling from Wrexham to Chester this afternoon – with traffic currently backed up from Rossett towards the Posthouse roundabout.

Traffic is currently at a standstill on the northbound side of the carriageway, with some motorists reporting moving around 200 metres in 15 minutes.

The delays have been caused by roadworks taking place near the roundabout itself, with one lane currently closed. The roadworks were blocking one lane on the roundabout earlier this morning, however are thought to have since moved south.

Traffic backed up northbound a483 towards the posthouse traffic lights 🙈
