This years St David’s Day celebrations will take place in Wrexham town centre on Saturday March 1st.

A parade will leave Saith Seren on Lambpit Street at 11am and will make its way through Chester Street, High Street, Hope Street, Regent Street, Egerton Street, Lord Street, Queen’s Square and will end with the traditional singing of the National Anthem. Organisers are keen for local bands to join the parade and anyone interested should contact Kay Rickard on 01978 292536.

Anyone can take part in the parade which will assemble from 10.30 am in Lambpit Street or you can join in at any point along the route.

In Queen’s Square a St David’s Day Food and Craft market take place between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Throughout the day there will be numerous stalls and demonstrations taking place. So far confirmed stalls will be selling local cheeses, bread, cakes, pies, cider, beer, jams and preserves, plants, Welsh themed clothing and a range of craft items.

Any local dance group, choirs or performers who would like to take part in the event on Queens Square should also contact Kay Rickard in advance to book a time slot.
