A speed enforcement operation carried out yesterday in the Rossett area identified 20 vehicles which were travelling in excess of the limit.

NWP Wrexham Rural say that the checks were carried out following concerns about the speed vehicles were entering and travelling through the village.

Officers says over 200 vehicles were checked at eight locations, with 20 vehicles identified as travelling in excess of the limit.

As a result those identified will receive a warning letter.

However there are plans to run similar speed operations on a regular basis throughout the year.
