Southbound A483 fully reopen after collision for people living in or visiting the wrexham area

Update 4pm: The Welsh Ambulance Service have told us “We were called today at approximately 1.58pm to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A483 near Mold Road turn off. We responded with one emergency ambulance and one patient was transported to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”

Update 3:30pm The incident has been cleared.

Update 2:35pm: The road has been described as ‘blocked’, with very slow traffic heading southbound past the incident location.

Original information below…

The A483 southbound just after the “B&Q Roundabout” junction 5 is down to one lane this afternoon.

Police are attending the incident and have closed the outside lane of the bypass.

Mia has told us “someone lost a wheel” adding “people acting like idiots trying to get around it so beware”.

Traffic Wales added a warning for drivers to ‘take care’ while passing the incident, noting there are also local delays.

We understand there has been no serious injuries following the incident, however the location of the vehicle could mean recovery could see the road temporarily blocked.

Antony sent this picture of the police closing off the outside lane:

More shortly.
