A public notice has been placed letting people know of veteran of the Royal Welch Fusiliers passed away this month, and that his funeral will be held on Thursday.

The notice notes that there are no known family to attend the funeral: “Are you able to attend the funeral of George Formstone RWF Veteran? George passed away on 9th January aged 81 and has no known family to attend the funeral.”

The notice was placed on FLOW (Forces Leavers Organisation Wales) which is a community website to support the delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant in North Wales.

It aims to bring together both serving and non serving members of the community across the region and offer support and information relevant to those people already living, or planning to live in North Wales.

George’s funeral will be held on Thursday 31st January 10:30am at Plas Acton Cemetery, Plas Acton Road, Gwersyllt (LL11 2UB)

RWF groups are aware and it also appears it has been circulated internally with Wrexham groups.
