A fire broke out 2pm this afternoon in a barn at Berse Farm, on Berse Lane just off Ruthin Road. Ruthin Road is now closed from around Ysgol Clywedog, and we would advise people to keep an eye on the A483 incase that is closed as well.

Six firefighting crews and police are attending, and two fire support vehicles have been seen heading south on the A483.

The fire is affecting a large barn housing hay, fertilizer, farm machinery and tyres.

North Wales Fire and Rescue have said that two brothers working on the farm were injured by the fire, one has been discharged from hospital with superficial burns and the other has been transferred to Whiston Hospital, Merseyside for assessment.

Travelling on the bypass is currently like driving in thick fog at times, with smoke billowing on to the road.

Smoke can be seen from Rossett, and the smell of burning is quite strong north from the fire with people in Gresford and Acton complaining of the smell and smog.

It is thought that firefighters will be at the scene for a number of hours to come.
