Ruabon Mountain Walkers Rescued

North East Wales Search and Rescue teams were out last night, after being contacted by North Wales Police at 19:51.

Two walkers who became lost on Ruabon Mountain required assistance to be located.

15 members of the search and rescue team assisted in the call out and located the two walkers. The team walked one of the lost walkers off the hill whilst the second was taken off by the North Wales Police Helicopter as they had suffered slight injuries and mild hypothermia.

Ruabon Mountain makes up the area ‘behind’ Rhos / Penycae / Llangollen areas.
