Three In A Row For Wrexham Swimming Club
Wrexham Swimming Club have won the East Clwyd League for the third year in a row.
The East Clwyd League is a friendly swimming League in North East Wales and brings together the local amateur swimming clubs of Wrexham, Mold, Buckley, Connah’s Quay and Flint.
The swimmers compete in a series of fun, but competitive swimming galas which prove an invaluable training ground for those swimmers who go on to compete at regional, national and international galas.
The League has been in existence for 34 years, and while the competing clubs have changed, the aim of the League remains the same – to enable young swimmers to compete in a series of team galas that are competitive, but with a focus on a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Craig Prime, Head Coach at Wrexham Swimming Club said: “Winning the league three years on the run is a great achievement and we’re delighted to have hung on to our lead. With the contributed dedication and commitment of the swimmers we’re hoping to make it four in a row”.
