Last night several readers got in touch to report fire service activity around the area.

The picture above was of emergency services attending a call on Oak Drive in Acton, which turned out to be a false alarm.

A couple of people had mentioned fire service spotted in and around Gwersyllt, however on following that up today there is nothing recorded.

There was more call outs to Caia Park, one at 10:13pm by Minafon where a quantity of rubbish in a shed was set alight resulting in light damage to the shed.

Earlier fire crews were called to Prince Charles Road at 9:58pm where there was a small rubbish fire.

Both Caia incidents are believed to be deliberate ignition.

Llangollen fire crews tweeted the following picture, saying: “21:12 CAR FIRE DINBREN LLANGOLLEN AND CHIRK ASSIGNED TO THE INCIDENT 2BA AND 2 HRJ TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE.”
