Rossett Hall Hotel Enters Receivership
Rossett Hall Hotel has entered receivership and a specialist company has been appointed to run the business by insolvency firm Begbies Traynor after they were called in by the bank.
The 18th century, Grade II listed property officially entered receivership last month and Rossett Hall Hotel Limited is listed as in liquidation on the Companies House website.
Bolton-based Convivial Management Services has confirmed that it is now running the business and that Rossett Hall went into Law of Property Act receivership on September 26.
They said that the property’s directors had left and no longer had responsibility for the business.
Rossett Hall continues to trade as normal and a spokesperson for Begbies Traynor said that there were currently no redundancies planned.
They also said that there were no immediate plans to sell the property, but added that it could be put on the market in the New Year.
The original part of Rossett Hall was formerly a Georgian manor house, which was built in 1750 by John Boydell, sheriff of the nearby Harwarden Estate, who went on to become the Lord Mayor of London.
Rossett Hall is the second major Wrexham hotel to suffer financial difficulties in recent months after the Wynnstay Hotel closed its doors in July.
