A car has crashed into a sign post after appearing to have been hit from the side on the cross roads of Caia Road, Hightown Road and Benjamin Road with the driver being cut out of the vehicle.
The police told us they were called at 9:45am to an incident involving two cars car, and the fire and ambulance services also attended.
TomWFC_ on twitter told us someone “drove up the wrong way and got hit by a people carrier, resulting in them needing to be cut out of the car”.
The Fire and Rescue service said one appliance from Wrexham’s fire station attended to cut free a 84 year old man who was trapped. The man was released after hydraulic cutting gear was used, he was then taken to hospital with neck and back injuries .
