Road ‘Partially Blocked’ Following Two Vehicle Collision

One man has been taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision in Marchwiel this afternoon.

The incident took place shortly before 1:30pm this afternoon on near Yorke Avenue, Marchwiel.

A Vauxhall Astra and a Vauxhall Meriva were involved in the collision, which has resulted in one lane being partially blocked.

There are no delays as a result of the incident – however minor delays are expected for those travelling between Wrexham and Bangor-on-Dee.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed they were called at 1:24pm this afternoon to the collision and it is thought that those involved has sustained minor injuries.

Recovery has also been called to remove the Vauxhall Astra.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “At approximately 1.20pm, we were made aware of a road traffic collision on Yorke Avenue in Marchwiel.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one person was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
