Reports of a road traffic incident in Johnstown involving a bus and a young male have reached us this afternoon.

Several readers got in touch to say traffic was been brought to a standstill by the incident, which took place adjacent to the corner of Bangor Road and the High Street. One reported a bus appeared to have a broken window, with another saying they believed it had hit a young male.

Police have told us they were called to the scene at 4:28pm with an incident involving a pedestrian and a single decker bus. Sadly one male was taken to the Maelor hospital with what are believed to be serious leg injuries.

As of 6pm police remain in the area, with the main road closed to traffic.
