Road reopens after ‘collision with pedestrian’

Update 11pm: PC Hough has updated to say the woman involved in the collision has ‘minor injuries’ and has been taken to hospital as a precaution, adding his thanks to ‘all persons who helped out’.

Berse Road has now reopened.

Berse Road is closed in both directions late this evening.

Police have said the road that heads to Southsea “is currently closed in both directions due to an RTC with a pedestrian”

PC Hough tweeted the above image adding “We’re on scene and will update asap”.

Several police vehicles and an ambulance are attending the incident.

The exact location of the incident is currently unknown.
