A lane on the Gresford Roundabout was closed for several hours today after a lorry carrying chickens overturned.

The incident took place just before 11am this morning on the northbound slip road towards Chester.

North Wales Police were in attendance at the scene throughout the day, with the lane blocked off and diversions in place.

Crews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene to make the vehicle safe and assist with removing cargo.

The road closure was in place for several hours – causing traffic and delays heading into rush hour. However the road fully reopened just before 5pm.
