Emergency services are currently in attendance at a collision on the outskirts of Wrexham after a car ‘reportedly left the road and went into a ditch’.

The A495 between New Hall Lane (Bronington Village) and Conery Lane (Conery Lane Farm) is currently closed both ways due to a single vehicle collision.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed they received a call at 11:25am this morning reporting a collision involving a Citroen on Long Lane, Bronington.

It is believed that the car left the carriageway and went down a ditch.

There are no major traffic delays in the area as a result of the collision, however motorists travelling between Ellesmere and Whitchurch will be affected.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at just after 11.20am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a single car on the A495 near Bronington, Whitchurch.

“We responded with a Rapid Response Vehicle and Air Ambulance. Two elderly males and one elderly female were checked over at the scene but not conveyed to hospital.”

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have also since tweeted to say: “At 11.20am 04/05/16 crews from Ellesmere and Whitchurch assisted @CheshireFire with an RTC on the A495 at Bronnington. Persons trapped.”
