Motorists are being asked to avoid the Johnstown area due to a road traffic collision.

The incident took place at around 6:30pm this evening and is believed to have involved two vehicles.

As a result of the incident traffic is backing up towards Pentre Bychan.

NWP Wrexham Rural have since said: “We’re asking people to avoid Wrexham Road in Johnstown.

“There has been an RTC which blocked the petrol station and Scottish power. Will update when road is open again.”

More information when we have it.
