Scouts from the 1st Rhosnesni Group in Wrexham are once again selling Christmas trees this year to raise funds.

The group has been selling trees, both through orders and sales outside their hut, since 2010 and sales have been up year on year. The Scouts use the money raised for the upkeep of their hut on Dean Road, a landmark in Rhosnesni for over 80 years, and have recently replacing the leaking roof.

Ian Lucas, MP for Wrexham, is having his Christmas tree supplied by the Scouts again this year. Mr Lucas said: “The trees are excellent quality and great value for money.”

The trees are Nordman Firs which are non-needle drop and have no roots. The are available from £29 for a 4 foot tree up to £40 for a 7 foot, and the group will also deliver for an extra £3 within 2 miles from Rhosnesni, or £5 within 10 miles. Trees are available for collection, or direct sale from outside the Scout hut on Dean Road between 9am and 3pm this Saturday and Sunday, and the following weekend, the 13th and 14th of December.

You can find more details on the Scouts’ website at www.clwydscouts.org.uk/rhosnesni or phone Alison on 07752 665192.
