Communities in the south of Wrexham are being invited along to have an informal chat and ‘paned’ with local police and discuss any concerns they have in their local area.

Special Constables from the Local Policing Teams will be joined by representatives from OWL and the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to give residents an opportunity to meet in a less formal environment as well as raise any concerns they have or simply seek any crime prevention or fire safety advice.

Wrexham Rural Specials Sergeant Darren Armour said: “Police surgeries have been running for some time now but we think a less formal get together, particularly over a cuppa and biscuits, may encourage more people to get involved and an opportunity to meet others in their community.

“The meetings are open to everyone with no set agenda and were looking forward to meeting some fresh faces over a paned.”

The next meeting will take place at Froncysyllte Community Centre, Froncysyllte between 11am and 2pm on Sunday 22nd October.
