Reminder To Complete Electoral Registration Form
Wrexham’s Electoral Registration Office is advising residents that it’s their last chance to register to vote in time for the European Parliament election on 22 May.
Reminders are currently being sent out to register to vote and just over 60% of households have already responded.
Dr Helen Paterson, Electoral Registration Officer for Wrexham, said: “Registering to vote is quick and simple. If your details haven’t changed you can simply reply by telephone, internet or text message. If you do need to make changes all you have to do is update the form with details of everyone who lives in the household and is eligible to vote then return it in the prepaid enevelope as soon as possible.”
You can only register to vote if you are a British Citizen, a citizen of the Irish Republic, European Union country or the Commonwealth. Details of your nationality are included in your passport. Information relating to asylum seekers, refugees or those with indefinite leave to remain can be found at the About My Vote website http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/.
Door to door visits will be carried out in the new year whencanvassers will call at addresses where no form has been returned
