Fans of the Red Arrows are in for a treat this weekend with the formation flyers due to land at Hawarden airport and pass over the Wrexham area this Sunday.

The formation flyers will depart from RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire at 1:55pm on Sunday, before arriving at Hawarden airport for 2:18pm.

Current flight and departure times also shows that the formation flyers will be departing from Hawarden airport at 4:50pm for the Rhyl Airshow. During their journey the red Arrows will pass over the north east of Wrexham at 4:52, the south east of Wrexham at 4:53pm and the west of Llangollen at 4:56pm,

The Red Arrows will then remain at Hawarden aiport until 7:40pm when they are due for departure to RAF Scampton.

The exact flight times / route have yet to be unveiled – however as with the Red Arrows previous visits to Hawarden, it is likely that the formation flyers will pass over Wrexham at some point during their journey.

Last time the Red Arrows were due to visit Hawarden there was a last minute flight change – so these times are subject to change. If that is the case we will update this article with fresh information – likewise when there is more information on the flight route / passing over Wrexham we will also update with more information.

During their transit in May, one us popped to Hawarden airport to watch the Red Arrows take off. The video from the event can be viewed in full below.
