Quick Justice As Two Sentenced For Chapel St Incident
Two men have pleaded guilty and have been sentenced after an incident on Chapel Street ten days ago where a student was robbed at knifepoint.
At about 1.15am on Wednesday January 15, a student was making his way home along Chapel Street in town when he was threatened and had property taken from him by two men, one brandishing a knife type weapon. The victim was thankfully not injured.
North Wales Police arrested the two men the day after.
Dean Matthews received a two month youth custody sentence, suspended for 12 months plus unpaid community service, plus a victim surcharge £80 after a robbery charge was dropped.
Saige Floyd Hughes was sentenced to 27 months youth custody, with a victim surcharge of £100 after admitting responsibility for the attack.
