Members of the public are being warned of increased demand at the Wrexham Maelor’s emergency department.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board say that the department is “extremely busy” this afternoon.

As a result members of the public are being asked to think twice about whether they can be treated elsewhere and to only visit unless it is a medical emergency.

The health board says: “If you are feeling unwell or have been injured but the problem is not a medical emergency, there are options to help you get the right treatment to reduce delays.”
