Proposals to construct a wall to restrict access to the Wynnstay Arms steps / footpath have been submitted.

The construction of a brick wall at the south of the steps will make the pathway access to the hotel only. Two signs would also be put in place, with one at the south directing customers to use the access, and another at the entrance.

The wall itself would span the width of the pathway and match the height of the existing walls.

Currently the pathway leads to both the Wynnstay Arms Hotel and Eagles Meadow Car park, along with a route into the town. However it is hoped that the wall will improve ‘pedestrian traffic around the hotel and business district’.
