Update 11:05pm: Power has been restored after the earlier ‘fault’.

Original information below

Power has been turned off in parts of Ruabon out to Pen-Y-Cae due to work on an overhead line.

The notice to some properties affected stated 3-4 hour outage, however the online notice says work should be quicker.

SP Energy say: “It will be necessary for our Engineers on site to isolate the electricity supply in the LL14 postcode area of Wrexham from 9.30PM. This is in order to carry out repair work safely on the overhead line network for properties in Plas Bennion Road and surrounding area.

“We expect your power supply to be restored by 11PM. Should this information change every effort will be made to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
