Power restored after cut hits Abenbury & Kingsmills area

Update: Power is back on in the area.

Update 9:05am: There are reports some areas have seen power restored, however others remain off.

Emma has said “There was a big explosion before it went off! Not only heard it but felt it.”

A powercut has hit the Abenbury area this morning.

SP Energy have said the issue is affecting properties in Cefndre, Pentre Gwyn, Hill Court, Kings Close and surrounding area.

“We did not know in advance there would be a power cut and became aware of this at 7:59am. Our control centre will attempt to reset the network remotely to restore power in stages, and our emergency response team are on their way to the area to investigate.”

They expect the power to be restored by 10:00am.
