A number of homes across the Acton area have been hit by a power cut this evening.

Issues in the area have been caused by a ‘supply interruption’ and were reported at around 6:45pm this evening.

It is the second and in some cases, third, power cut of the day to hit the area, with many residents reporting similar issues earlier this afternoon.

SP Energy Networks say the issue is affecting homes in the LL12 postcode, particularly in Derwent Crescent, Acton Park Way and the surrounding streets.

A statement released by the company adds: “We are aware that you have experienced previous power failures and we apologise for this.

“Our Engineers have been dispatched and will work to restore your electricity supply by 10PM.

Should this information change on arrival every effort will be made to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
