The popular children’s Play Day event is set to return to the town centre this summer.

Taking place on Llwyn Isaf and Queens Square on Wednesday 6th August, activities for children of all ages will be available

This year’s event will again see a number of fun activities in the town – including den building, a water slide, an early years area and music. There will also be new play opportunities for children to take part in.

All you have to bring with you is a playful mood and some clothes you don’t mind getting wet and messy. Visitors are also invited to bring along a picnic and stay all afternoon.

Prior to the event, Play Wrexham are asking children, families, work places and individuals to make 31’s out of anything they can lay their hands on and then send the picture to the Play Development team. The images will be displayed at Playday, but if people want to see them before hand they are on twitter @playwrexham and some are on the Wrexham Council facebook page.

Last year more than 3000 people visited the Play Day event, with activities such as water slides, marshmallow toasting and a sandpit all available for children to play on.

The National Play Day event will take place from midday to 4pm on Wednesday August 6th, so why not pop down!
