Local residents are being encouraged to visit a new pop-up library in Caia Park.

The new pop-up library launched at the Caia Park Partnership conference room last Thursday.

It was the first of three visits by Wrexham Libraries. The service will be in Caia Park again for the next two Thursdays – 11th and 18th February – open from 9.30am until 4pm.

The initiative is part funded by the Welsh Government’s Fusion project, a scheme which focuses on improving cultural access in disadvantaged areas.

Lesley Griffiths AM is hoping as many local residents as possible support the initiative. After her visit, she said: “As well as providing a wide range of books, the pop-up library had many other activities and services available and all are welcome to drop in to speak to the friendly staff. Visitor numbers were encouraging during the opening day and the more people find out about the service, the better.”

“Caia Park has never had a library but this initiative could provide the ideal opportunity to create something more lasting within the community.”
