Motorists are being urged not to leave items on display following a series of vehicle break ins across the Wrexham Town Centre area.

Over the past few weeks there has been an increase in the number of vehicle break-ins across the town centre and neighbouring villages.

Thieves have smashed the car windows and stolen items such as handbags and sat navs which have been left on display.

Speaking to Wrexham.com Town District Inspector Simon Kneale said: “I would urge car owners not to leave any items on display or in their vehicles. It is an easy opportunity for a thief.”

Anyone who witnesses a vehicle break-in or has any further information about an incident in Wrexham is advised to contact North Wales Police on 101. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers Wales anonymously on 0800 555 111
