Police say Wrexham man died in A5 Gobowen collision

West Mercia Police have said the man who died in a collision in Gobowen has been named locally, and was from Wrexham.

In the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday 20th March) a car collided with a lorry on the A5 between Gobowen and Gledrid.

Formal identification is yet to take place however the man is believed to be Garat Hannan who was 32 from Wrexham.

His family have paid tribute to him, “The whole family would like to thank the emergency services for the care and respect they showed to Garat at his last moment.

“Our hearts are broken our lives will never be the same again.A bright light has gone out. We’ll never forget you Garat. We’ll love and miss you forever xxx”

Police are continuing to appeal for information and are asking any witnesses to contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 09s200319.
