Update:

Yesterday we receieved reports of a police raid in the Euro Delikatesy shop on Yorke Street.

Police have confirmed to us that they did undertake an operation in the shop yesterday. However it was negative and no arrests were made.

Inspector Mark Williams also tweeted us with the information earlier this morning.

Original Story:

This afternoon we were told of a ‘police raid’ on a shop in the town centre.

One person told us they saw police entering the Euro Delikatesy shop on the corner of Yorke St and High St this morning around 10am. He told us “The shutter was half down, and police had to duck under it to gain entry”.

“Two officers tried to gain entry to the first floor flat by banging on a door”.

Another eyewitness told us that they saw a ‘raid’ taking place, with boxes being removed from the property by police into a police van.

However when we initially contacted North Wales Police they could not find a record of such an event, but did tell us there was emergency service activity nearby when an ambulance called out to Brook Street for an intoxicated female. This incident took place shortly after midday.

Further enquiries are continuing and we hope to give further details tomorrow morning on what occurred.
