Police pursuit involving “vehicle believed to be linked to a burglary” in Ponciau

An investigation is underway after a vehicle believed to be linked to a burglary was involved in a police pursuit.

Shortly after 10:30pm there were reports of a large police presence in Ponciau, with an “abandoned vehicle” also found in the area.

One resident told Wrexham.com that they heard the “car tyres squealing and then sirens” from the police vehicles

CCTV footage also captured footage of the pursuit taking place.

North Wales Police, the police helicopter and the dog section all attended the incident.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed that the vehicle, which is believed to have been linked to a burglary, was involved in a pursuit, however the occupants decamped.

The spokesperson added that stolen property had been recovered and that enquiries remain ongoing.
