Police Make Three Arrests Over Car Arsons
Three youths have been arrested in connection with a spate of car arsons in the Caia Park area of Wrexham in recent weeks.
The males, all local to the area, were arrested today Friday November 16 and are being questioned at Wrexham police station. More arrests are expected.
The arrests are not being linked to the car arson at the Orchards in the Whitegate /Hightown area of Wrexham on Tuesday morning. The investigation into that incident continues and a youth arrested in connection with that inquiry has been released on police bail.
CI Alex Goss said; “The investigations into all these incidents is a top priority for officers in Wrexham. We are taking positive action and extra patrols have been deployed. Anyone suspected of deliberately starting any fires, be it cars, hedges or bins will be arrested.
“We are appealing to the public to come forward with information to help us put a stop to this dangerous criminal activity and bring the offenders before the courts.”
One resident spotted signs being placed up regarding the spate of attacks:
@wrexham Signs up in QP about 'deliberate fires being started'. About 20 cars and 1 lady too late. They won't stop while there're no cops
