Police in Wrexham have issued a warning this evening after they have had reports this week of credit and debit cards, along with cash, being stolen.

Although not stated by police there is a limited number of cash points in the area included in the warning, with the Tesco cash machine area the most obvious.

Police said, “Please be careful when out and about shopping in the Town centre.

“We have had reports in the past couple of days of people having their credit and debit cards and cash taken in the Crescent Road area.

They added, “Always be mindful of who is around you when taking money from cash machines, and when putting your money away after you have finished your shopping.”

As always, if you do see anything suspicious please report it to the police via the 101 number, or call 999 in an emergency.
