Police are appealing for information after a motorist was assaulted.

The incident happened on Saturday August 11 between 11.00 and 11.30am in High Street Gwersyllt, near the Lidl store.

The victim was assaulted after he got out of his car to speak to a man who had stood in the road to stop his car after verbally abusing him at the traffic lights on Mold Road minutes earlier.

Traffic on the High Street came to a standstill during the incident.

DS Sarah Fellows said: “We are appealing to other motorists or others who may have witnessed the assault to contact CID 01978 348728 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
