Police Execute Firearms Warrant By Mold Road

A firearms warrant has this afternoon been executed at an address in Wrexham.

Shortly after 4pm this afternoon there were reports that the entrance to Yale Park, just off Mold Road had been blocked off with ‘armed police’ reportedly in the area.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed a firearms warrant had been executed at a property and the search was ongoing.

A man has also been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody in Wrexham.

Update: as of 5:55pm police remain conducting enquires but the ‘large swoop’ as described earlier have left.
