Police Charge Wrexham Man With Robbery, Attempted Robbery & Burglary

Police have charged Ben Brown, a man wanted by police this last week and arrested this morning in the Rossett area, with robbery, attempted robbery and burglary dwelling.

Ben Brown, 26, of Ridley View, Wrexham, has this evening been charged with offences of robbery, attempt robbery and burglary dwelling.

Police say two others, a woman and a man, who were in custody for assisting an offender to evade arrest, have been bailed pending further enquires.

Another female arrested earlier today has been charged with a public order offence and will appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court on 6th March.

Det Chief Insp Neil Harrison said: “These offences are serious and in recent weeks have caused a great deal of distress within the communities of Wrexham.”

He added: “We are extremely grateful to the people of Wrexham for all their help over the past few weeks and I would ask that the public remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious circumstances to the police.”

Brown has been remanded in custody and will appear before Wrexham Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

Earlier today police said Mr Brown had been arrested relation to a series of robberies in the Wrexham area in a location near to Rossett.
