Police are conducting a forensic examination this morning on a car that was found alight outside the police station in Cefn Mawr.

Fire crews were called to the scene just after 5am, and police were alerted at 5:19am. The Vauxhall Corsa car that was set alight is believed to be an unmarked police car.

There was no collateral damage to buildings, or injuries to people thankfully, however the car was seriously damaged in the fire.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have seen something to get in touch with them by calling 101 quoting reference P142813.
