Update: North Wales Police have tweeted this morning (Friday 22nd August) to say ‘The 48-year-old woman who was missing from #Llanfairfechan has been found safe and well. Thanks for all your RTs and support.”

Original Story: Police are calling on the help of the public to trace a 48-year-old woman who is missing from her home in Llanfairfechan up on the North Wales Coast.

The appeal was first made last night however has now been circulated to us here in Wrexham as well.

Police say: “Jane Chaloner has not been seen since Tuesday, August 19, when she left her home address.”

The 48-year-old is described as 5ft 8’ tall, of slim build and white coloured long hair which she usually wears in a loose bun underneath a black coloured hat. She has a pale complexion and speaks with a Manchester accent.

Jane is believed to be driving a silver coloured 54 registered plate Nissan Micra and has her dog, a chocolate coloured Labrador, with her.

“It is now two days since Jane was last seen and there is concern for her safety and welfare as her disappearance is totally out of character,” said PC 682 John Roberts. “We are appealing for anyone who has seen Jane, may know of her whereabouts and to Jane herself to please contact us and your family to let us know that you are safe and well.”

Inquiries to try and locate the 48-year-old are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact PC 682 Roberts or his colleagues at Llandudno Police station on 101.
