North Wales Police would like to advise residents of an incident that occurred last Saturday (23rd February) in the Borras Park area.

A resident received a knock on the door at around 10:50pm and was met by a lone female who they described as being emotional, shaking and crying. She stated that her son had been taken to Alderhey and she had been the victim of a theft and had no money, or means, to get there.

The woman eventually persuaded the resident to give her £35 and a lift to the train station. His son took her in the car to the station and gave her a further £25 for taxis. The resident stated she was very convincing and said she would pay the money back in a few days.

The female is described as white, in her early 30’s, 5’5, shoulder length dark hair, medium build, wearing a brown coat with a hood.

If you have any information relating to this incident please contact North Wales Police at the earliest opportunity by dialling 101 and quote event reference P030642.
