Police Appeal For Information Over Murder In Caia Park

Police have launched an investigation following a murder in the Deva Way area of Caia.

UPDATE Sunday Morning: Police are still active on the scene of the incident on Deva Way, with more flowers and tributes being left nearby.

UPDATE 8pm Saturday: North Wales Police have said Deva Way will remain closed off overnight whilst the investigation is on going and ask people to please use other routes.

North Wales Police have issued a statement saying: “Police are investigating following a murder at Wrexham in the early hours of Saturday 11th October. A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Anyone who was in the Deva Way area of Wrexham last night between 6.30pm and 1am are asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.”

The incident reference is R160387.

Several police and ambulances were seen on Deva Way around 3-4am this morning.

Later areas on the south end of the Deva Way were sectioned off by police tape with scenes of crime officers attending.

Sergeant Wesley Williams has since tweeted to remind people who have any further information to contact the police on 101 and not report incidents via Twitter.
