An appeal for information has been launched after two homes were targeted by thieves “during daylight hours”.

Police say the rear window of an address in the Gatewen Road area was smashed and items were stolen.

Two men were seen leaving the area on bikes, which were also stolen. We’re told the two males were tall and wearing tracksuits.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number Y117212.

Police say an address has also been targeted. However it is not known if the two incidents are linked.

A spokesperson for NWP Wrexham Rural, said: “Two burglaries have been committed in Southsea and Moss during day light hours.

“Please ensure you report any suspicious activity in your area to assist in identifying the suspects and preventing further offences.”
