Plas Madoc Lease And £50k Grant To Be Recommended

The following statement has been forwarded on behalf of Councillor Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities, Collaboration and Partnerships.

“Statement of the Lead Member for Communities Collaboration and Partnerships on the future of Plas Madoc Leisure Centre:

“Following receipt of the final business plan submitted by the Splash Trust, and having carried out appropriate evaluation and due diligence, I am currently minded to make a recommendation to the Executive Board on October 7th to grant an appropriate lease to the Trust.”

“I am also minded to include in the recommendation an offer of a one off fifty thousand pound grant to enable the Trust to meet its immediate obligations under Health and Safety and Financial Management.

“Full details will be published in my report to be released with the agenda papers for the Executive Board on 7 October 2014.”
