Plans to install a concrete skate park for local children in Brymbo have been submitted.

The proposals for the 6m x 23m park would be built on an already existing open space which adjoins Cheshire View.

Previously the plot of land has been used as an informal football pitch.

The marked out football pitch which is currently in place will be rotated 90 degrees to accommodate the skate park.

However the nearby Offa’s Dyke monument will not be effected by the construction of the site.

The skate park will lie adjacent to the already existing play area in Brymbo. It is hoped that the skate park will provide children with a safe place to play and improve the free available facilities for residents of the area.

Images / plans of the skate park can be found on the Wrexham Council Website.
