47 new houses are proposed for Rossett in an application lodged with Wrexham Council this week.

The development, if fully approved, would be on land associated with The Bungalow, off Darland Lodge / Gamford Lane in Rossett.

The development plans are for a mix of detached, semi detached and terraced properties. The majority of the houses will be two storey and a bungalow on the southern boundary is also proposed. 25% of the development will be nominated as affordable housing.

The application describes the development as a ‘natural extension to the village’.

The application notes ‘there will be an increase in the number of vehicles and frequency of traffic at the site brought about by the proposed development, however it is envisaged that this should not unduly affect the amenity of neighbouring properties.’

There is further detail given to how those living in the proposed houses would access nearby facilities and existing roads.
