An all ability cycling service in Wrexham has been able to replace the flooring in the cabin used at its base thanks to a funding boost from Money Supermarkets Community Fund.

The previous floor at the Pedal Power cabin in Alyn Waters was plyboard, which was undulating, prone to damp and was not making a suitable surface for the service users, volunteers, and staff.

The floor was replaced with a cushioned vinyl, which is watertight and easy to clean. The flooring was supplied and laid by Mark and John from Finney’s flooring in Pentre Deeside, who also included an inlaid welcome mat.

Mark and John where assisted by Alex Foden the mobile bike mechanic who volunteered for the day to help.

Peter Kennedy the Cycling 4 all co-ordinator, said: “Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the new floor possible. The new floor makes the whole place feel warmer and more welcoming.”
