Arriva Trains Wales are advising passengers of temporary service changes from tomorrow due to essential works being undertaken by Network Rail.

Earlier this week Wrexham.com reported that the North / South Enhancement project on the track between Wrexham and Chester would be entering into its final phase on Friday 24th March.

The major works, which are being undertaken by Network Rail, will deliver five miles of track redoubling between Wrexham and Chester.

As part of the project’s final phase, work will be undertaken on the railway between Rossett Junction and Saltney Junction, which will affect passengers travelling between Wrexham and Chester and from North Wales to Chester.

Due to the works Arriva Trains Wales are advising passengers that replacement bus service will operate for various services between 9pm March 24th until 5am on April 1st.

This is expected to add about 15 minutes to the journey time.

Rail replacement bus services will be in operation on the following dates:

– 9pm Friday 24th March to 11:35pm Saturday 25th March – Chester to Rhyl
– 11:35pm Saturday 25th March night to 3:55am Monday 27th March – Chester to Llandudno Junction
– 9pm Friday 24th March to 5:10am Saturday 1st April – Chester to Wrexham
