Dog owners in Wrexham are being urged to keep their pets under control following three recent incidents in people and other dogs have been injured.

The separate incidents have involved a member of the public being bitten and two dogs attacking each other.

In a third incident a dog got into a person’s garden, with the occupant scared of being attacked.

As a result of the three incidents Town Centre Inspector Paul Wycherley is urging dog owners to keep control of their pets.

He said: “There is legislation in place however it is a matter for the public and the dog’s owners to restrain them.

“The last thing I want to do is enforce legislation which can lead to the dog being destroyed.”
