Lorry carrying chickens overturns on Gresford Roundabout – Road closure in place

A lorry carrying live chickens has overturned on the Gresford Roundabout.

The incident took place at around 10:45am on the northbound towards Chester slip road.

North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at the scene, with the slip road towards Chester currently cordoned off.

PC Thomas Hough has tweeted the above images and has warned that the road will temporarily be closed off.

Wrexham Council have since confirmed a road closure is in place and the road is likely to be closed for some hours.
